Creative Director & Brand StrategistSummaryThe Public Relations and Media Coordinator works in collaboration with other Marketing and Community Relations staff on marketing, PR and advertising-related brand activities.
The PR and Media Coordinator will cultivate and manage relationships with media to effectively communicate SCRMC's message with the goal of maintaining a positive public image.
Supports the Marketing and Community Relations Department in telling the SCRMC story that reflect SCRMC's vision of providing excellent care and service to become the healthcare provider and employer of choice for those in Laurel and the surrounding communities.

Responsibilities:
Empower the Marketing and Community Relations staff to develop creative, engaging content Establish standardized consistent processes Collaborates with Administration and leaders across the organization Completes educational assignments timely and holds staff accountable for the sameUnderstands regulatory standards and responsible for compliance within the departmentDemonstrates compassion and care when approaching patients and families Establishes collaborative working relationships among the teamParticipates in Quality Council and SCRMC Management Council Accountable for the established outcomes metrics of the departmentAssist in the creation, promotion and executive of five-star service and red carpet treatment for all patients, staff and community stakeholders.
Core Duties:
MEDIA RELATIONSSecure local, state, regional and national media coverage that enhances brand visibility and reputation while aligning with strategic objectives.
Develop and implement media relations strategies that support the organization's goals and objectives.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, and influencers across various media outlets.
Proactively pitch story ideas, press releases, and other media materials to secure positive coverage.
Respond to media inquiries promptly and professionally, serving as the primary point of contact for media relations.
Monitor media coverage and sentiment, providing regular updates and reports to management.
Organize and facilitate media interviews, press conferences, and other media events.
Develop and maintain media lists, databases, and other resources to support media outreach efforts.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and media developments to inform media strategies.
Collaborate with other staff in Marketing and Community Relations to integrate media relations activities into broader communication initiatives.
PUBLIC RELATIONSDevelop communication/marketing plans for organizational initiatives and projects as directed by the Creative Director and Brand Strategist; plans will have research, planning, implementation and measurement components.
Write and disseminate engaging content across multiple channels to internal and external audiences such as blog articles; press releases; patient letters; and content for promotional material such as flyers, brochures, rack cards and more.
Collaborate with across the organization with employees at all levels to ensure effective communication techniques and messaging are tailored appropriately according to audiences Support all PR/marketing efforts of the organization including planning and participation in SCRMC and SCRMC Foundation eventsStay informed formed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging issues to inform communication strategies and opportunities.
Assists in leveraging data and metrics to continuously improve SCRMC's communication and marketing efforts.
